Not Smoking

So, at the end of week one of not smoking...it defiantly is still painful. It really isn't something I even wanted to do...but it is something that I NEED to do. Lyell and I went to a specialty doctor that really laid down the law if we want to continue to see him (which I want because he is the best). He prescribe us some Wellbutrin to help with the anxiety and stress of it all.

To think I have been smoking for 11 years kinda grosses me out. It been this thing I have done for so long, I guess I never stepped back and evaluated how unattractive it really is. I made a quick collage of some random pictures I found of me smoking (I am sure there are a ton more)...

So to my friend of 11 years...I have enjoyed you to the fullest. You have given me friends that I might not have ever meet if I wasn't standing outside in the freezing cold or in the hot HOT heat. You have been there after every meal, every car ride, every concert, every vacation, every stressful situations, every late night college talks with my girls... every big event. I am turning 30 this year and it would be nice to started it off in the right step. So goodbye my friend....I will surely miss you.

Random Highlights of the Week:  We tried giving ourselves a constant sugar high, walked at the greenway for hours because its the one thing we do that doesn't consist of smoking, we have yelled at each other for the stupidest thing and then laughed about, Lyell had a house wife breakdown and lets just say I never want a blowpop again...

To be honest, another thing that really helped Lyell and myself make the decision was the new FDA labels that will be coming out on cigarette packs. I think it was a great move...it made me think twice after seeing this...

This is it..

I saw this the other day and loved it. I need to take this sign's advice and stop moping around waiting on something to happen. I need to get over it and move on. So, on to better things...Stuff I have been doing lately here and there...

Picture of me and my ladies..at a church thingy

Laura Graduated with her Master's Degree last month. I made these graduation caps for the little get together.   I got the idea from here ... They looked better in person than on my camera phone...oh well.

Attended a dinner for Nashville School of Law.

Lyell's Birthday was a few weeks ago. The big 27! Mom got him some new running shoes that he needed badly. I got him a 5lb bag of David Lynch Coffee. Which He loved more than I thought so it wasn't a lame gift after all. I also found this little chocolate shoppe, The Cocoa Tree, in Germantown that he LOVED. Birthday dinner was at IHOP. I couldn't argue because breakfast for dinner is one of my favorites too. Happy Birthday baby, I love you.

Lyell and I just got finished watching LOST (watch instantly on Netflix)...while there are many things that I have ignored because it just doesn't make sense, we are planning our own island. So far we are getting our "extras" from Craiglist. Lyell is making some "hatch-attack" music for the theme and I am still looking for a doctor to join us...any other takers out there?.

Reese on the Run!

Probably my favorite little lady I have ever worked with. Maybe it is because she is gorgeous, adorable and the best model...or maybe its the love of the red hair. Either way, here are some new photos of this pretty little thing...

Vases...20 down and 800 to go?

One of the ideas we are playing around with for reception decor...not the colors but they were the only fresh flowers I had to work with. And don't mind the stickers still on them, I got too excited to windex them off!

Birthday & Bunnies

Saturday was my moms birthday, who is officially cooler than all of her four children. Dad got her an ipad 2... Lucky duck!!! Laura and I went in to get her a couple more charms for her Pandora bracelet. It was a pretty busy weekend filled with lots of pictures, so I will get to the good part...

For Easter I decided to do some a little healthier than sweets. I had found the idea online, but I did a "Katherine Cheaper version". I used organic bunny crackers, off brand ziploc bags (because they don't have ziploc written across it) and some green ribbon that was 50 cents a roll. Thought they turn out pretty cute.
