Birthday & Bunnies

Saturday was my moms birthday, who is officially cooler than all of her four children. Dad got her an ipad 2... Lucky duck!!! Laura and I went in to get her a couple more charms for her Pandora bracelet. It was a pretty busy weekend filled with lots of pictures, so I will get to the good part...

For Easter I decided to do some a little healthier than sweets. I had found the idea online, but I did a "Katherine Cheaper version". I used organic bunny crackers, off brand ziploc bags (because they don't have ziploc written across it) and some green ribbon that was 50 cents a roll. Thought they turn out pretty cute.

SCARY Bennett

The first decision (of many) that was made for Laura's wedding was that they wanted Scarritt Bennett for the ceremony site. So after emails, calls, fighting and eventually getting the LAST date of summer of 2012. Laura and Brian will be getting married at the beautiful Wightman Chapel on April 28, 2012. We swung by on Good Friday after looking for dresses and we took a couple of fun pictures and looked at all the wonderful spots for her bridal and wedding photos.

Knoxville

Lyell and I decided to go to Knoxville to visit my brothers. Every time I see them, I realize how much I do miss them both. Though there is a age difference between us, I can truly say that they are good friends of mine. I am very blessed that all four of us are closer than most siblings. We just stayed Friday night because Mike has a lead role in a movie down there (super exciting, right?) and I had a mother/daughter tea to to attend with my mom and Larz today.

We ate at Knoxville's Brewery & I found a great boutique in the square that I need to remember for unique birthday presents ideas. Lyell, Gale and myself went to the movies and then kinda ran into the Rossini Festival, so we walked around and laughed at some super random people there.

Here are some fun pictures... though I wish there was one of me demolishing my toes walking the terrain (also known as the sidewalks of Knoxville).

PS...My Flowers are dying because I forget to water them (like at all). Next project is to water my plants and get ready for Easter. I found several cute ideas and hopefully will follow through since I have already started buying...

My Moon My Man

My Moon My Man pretty much sums up how I would describe my husband. He pretty much told me that he wanted this to be his song...oh how I do love my space obsessed, robot lovin', gadget worshiper, technologically advance husband of mine.

I have never always wondered why Lyell is the tech man he is...like father like son (both in 3D glasses). We went by Rogers, Lyell's dad, house the other day. Here is a collage I made of just was laying around ONE room. I am not saying they are extremely wealthy, but oh how they love their gadgets...I am jealous of the server closet.

Opryland Session

Out of all the places in Nashville I have shot...Opryland was never one of them. So when it was time for Carson's 9 month session...the weather was so hit or miss. We decided that the Garden Conservatory was a great option. I have watched Carson literally turn into a little man. I am so glad that Tanya found me and I get to watch this sweet pea grow up. We had a great time and Opryland will now be my first option for those winter months or rainy Aprils.

Tips: Park across the street and save 18 bucks in parking, strollers & the conservatory don't mix and don't start at the water falls with children under one (the noise is pretty loud).

Spring is in the air

So I had stated in the last blog that I was going to work on my gardening skills…here are some pictures to prove my attempt.

Before:

 Bentley checking everything out:

After:

And I have such a wonderful announcement: My little sister is Engaged!! Sure excited about all the ideas and planning to follow. Brian did a wonderful job on the ring and proposal, I hope that their road to marriage is a smooth ride. I have already made four ideas boards for Laura (will post later) and I am planning a mother/daughters trip to Atlanta for some Bridal Shopping and spa treatment in May.
